Delivering Smiles at Easter
We did our first trip of 2023 to several schools across Northamptonshire just before they broke up for the Easter holidays. Armed with bags full of popcorn and our amazing screen, it was a fun filled week!
Easter Egg Hunt
Our annual Easter Egg Hunt was hugely popular, to the extent that we were sold out! Children and families went trekking around Winwick Hall Estate solving the clues to find their prizes! The Polo Pavilion Tea Room was open for business as well, with Nita’s amazing range of fun Easter related cakes and bakes.
A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support us. It was so lovely to see some new faces and returning faces!
Delivering Smiles at the End of Term
Amongst our very busy schedule with fundraising events, the Bruce Green Foundation has also been out and about to local schools with our enormous(!) Indoor Cinema. We have visited several schools to coincide with the end of Term and given lots and lots of children an amazing Cinema experience, complete with popcorn of course!
We have had come wonderful feedback from the headteachers:
“Thank you all for organising the Cinema Experience. Everyone loved it!!”
“Thank you for bringing the Cinema to our school it was great. We loved the popcorn!”
“Please can you thank the Foundation on our behalf it was a great end of term treat for them that was really appreciated for the staff too!!!!”
Trail Run & Fun Run - July 2022
This year, we held our annual Trail Run & Fun Run around the Winwick Hall Estate and surrounding countryside. A group of over 100 runners tackled either the 5K or 10K course in very warm weather. Once again, we were grateful for the invaluable help of Alice and Mike Sheldon, and our volunteering martials and medics. Well done to all who took part.
Easter Egg Hunt - April 2022

Northampton Saints - February 2022
In February the Bruce Green Foundation was invited by the Northampton Saints Foundation to collect donations from rugby supporters at Franklin’s Gardens (home of Northampton Saints), where the team were playing against Sale Sharks. Our willing volunteers withstood torrential wind and rain during the afternoon, but despite the weather and the last points of the match giving the victory to Sale, the rugby fans were incredibly generous and we took home a fantastic £528.45. A massive thankyou to all our volunteers who put the new charity waterproofs to the test. We would very much like to thank the Northampton Saints Foundation for this amazing opportunity.

Open Air Cinema & Fireworks Display to Music - Saturday 5th September 2020
Despite the additional safety measures required relating to Covid-19, we were able to put on our annual Open Air Cinema & Fireworks Display. Thank you to everyone who supported this event. The weather was glorious and the Fireworks were spectacular once again, so a HUGE thank you to MLE Pyrotechnics for a stunning display! We had some wonderful feedback including this lovely review:
“We came along pre booked last night not knowing what to expect. WOWWW the pre film music was fab, the Film screen and sound system great both halves as we sat outside for half but got a bit cold and then returned to our car. The Fireworks were the best we ever seen and we did London last NYE. Leaving the site, simple. This has to be the most well organised event we’ve ever been to. Hope to return soon. Thank you to all for hosting it.”
Also, a big thank you to Nigel for allowing us to show your stunning photograph!
Strictly Northampton Kids 2019 - Deco Theatre, Northampton
Under the tuition of the Step-By-Step Dance School, 24 children from across Northampton came together to learn to Dance, in aid of the Bruce Green Foundation. For 8 weeks, they learned Ballroom and Latin routines to perform at the Grand Final on Sunday 10th November at The Deco Theatre in Northampton.
Together, they raised £2,600 for the Bruce Green Foundation. We would like to say a huge thank you to Andrzej Mialkowski and the amazing 24 children for supporting our Charity.
